There is so much to see and experience in China. Everyone’s journey is different. I am delighted to share today’s guest post with you. Narelle’s year in China in pictures. Enjoy.
My year in China in 12 pictures
January: An amazing way to start the year with the incredible Ice Festivals in China
February: February is all about Chinese New Year and this picture was taken at the Ditan Temple Fair, Beijing.
March: My first Great Wall of China picture of the year. This one was taken at Mutianyu on a lovely Sunday morning.
April: Yangshuo was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited in my life. The karst mountains there are stunning.
May: My first camping trip in China was spent at the Ming Tomb reservoir.
June: A quick trip to Hong Kong with visiting family. The view from The Peak was amazing.
July: You can’t come to China and not travel to Xi’an to see the Terracotta Warriors.
August: I spent my summer exploring the best of Beijing. This was taken at the Temple of Heaven.
September: The Old Summer Palace is beautiful in September.
October: Golden week was spent travelling to Jiuzhaigou to see the spectacular scenery and waters.
November: This picture was taken on a cold day in late November at the Yungang Caves in Datong.
December: Finishing the year in Beijing, this snap was taken Chinese style (selfie stick) on a frozen over Houhai Lake.
